Music Programs

New musicians are always welcome in our groups. The Adult Choir is especially looking for new voices. Come to rehearsal-see what we are all about-let's make joyful noise together!

There are many different opportunities for worship at Seattle First Covenant Church. Our mission is to provide music groups and worship styles to meet the needs of all ages and backgrounds.

Preschool Choir

Practice: Sunday mornings during tool time (aka Sunday School) at 9:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room.

The focus in this group is on learning to use our voices to sing God’s praise in scripture songs and choruses. The Preschool Choir sings in worship occasionally throughout the year.

Kids Choir (K - grade 5)

Practice: Wednesday evenings during Prime Time at 6:45 p.m. in the Choir Room.

We seek to work together as we learn to “lift our voices in song to the Lord!” The kids choir sings in worship on the first Sunday of each month during the school year, as well as for special services. In the spring, our focus is on preparing and presenting a musical for Children’s Sunday in June.

Adult Choir (all ages)

Practice: Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.

The Adult Choir sings weekly in worship throughout the school year, except for the 3rd Sunday of each month. The purpose of this group is to work together to prepare a wide variety of music to lead in worship. Rehearsals are hard work, but rewarding, as singers are taught correct vocal technique as well as how to minister through music. New singers are always welcome, come join us for a season or for the whole year!

Bell Choir (all ages)

Practice: when scheduled, 8:30 a.m. on Sundays in the Choir Room. The bell choir plays seasonally throughout the year. Interested ringers contact Ann Scranton or Sarah Perkins.

String Band (all ages)

Practice: 2nd & 3rd Sundays after church (12:30 - 1:15), Choir Room.

Like to get your bluegrass on? The string band is a group of folks who like to step out of the traditional church music style and try some new tunes. We currently have violins, viola, guitars, stand up bass, piano, accordion and voices. The string band leads worship on the 3rd Sunday of the month.
