The Small Groups Ministry Team is very excited to announce several small group options for the Seattle First Covenant congregation. Read through the options below and prayerfully consider which might be the best fit for you. Each group has bonding factor – things like location, stage of life, or theme.
Men's Softball

Eastside Group - all ages & stages

The Eastside Small Group has been meeting the last two years at Bruce and Ann Knofel's home in Bellevue. We have been sharing a dessert and conversation followed by a discussion of the sermon from the previous Sunday led by Bruce and Ann. We follow with a time of prayer and praise. This year the small group will be meeting the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at Jim and Annita's home in Bellevue.
Knitting Group - all ages & stages
'Knit One, Pray Too'

Mondays at 7 p.m., rotating locations
Knit One Pray Too is a small group ministry that gathers to knit together, pray, and to provide the shawls to others. Most of the shawls have been given to the chaplins at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance to share with cancer patients, but some of them have been given to people either in the congregation or people we know who need prayer, generally because of hard things in their life. Some of the hard things are health related, some are spiritual, relational, or emotional. Sometimes they have simply been people who need Jesus and are feeling far from Him. When we have completed shawls, we pass them around our group and each person has the opportunity to pray for the person who will be the recipient, whether we know the person yet or not. The group is open to anyone who wishes to gather with us, from high school age on up.
Denny Terrace Bible Study

The Denny Terrace bible study group meets weekly to study and discuss the bible. The group has just started on Genesis, and is loving it! The group is very informal, eagerly seeking more minds and opinions. Cinda has been told her coffee is GREAT! The group has been meeting for over a year, and people come and go. Sometimes we get people who really know the bible (sometimes there are two of them and they disagree on points, but that's what makes it fun and informative!) Contact Cinda if you'd like to participate, or feel free just to show up!
